Therapy can be useful for a range of reasons. Perhaps you have noticed a change or deterioration in your mental health or the way you are handling things, or maybe you are experiencing a difficult life event and would like some support.
Often, people come to therapy when they are feeling stuck in whatever they are experiencing or in their ways of thinking. This might be related to your relationships, your self-esteem, or identity, or a wide range of other issues.
A good therapist can provide an empathic, non-judgmental, listening ear, and can provide a space where you can feel free to share and express your feelings and experiences. Sometimes it’s hard to find this time and space within your daily life, and therapy can provide some much-needed time to explore and unpack what’s going on for you.
As a person-centred therapist, I believe in supporting my clients to get in touch with what they most want and need, and finding ways forward that can help provide lasting change.
Often, society and the people around us can label us and tells us how we should be. I believe in exploring and challenging this, so you can really get to know what is right for you.
